Senior Quantity Surveyor

Join our Commercial team as a Senior Quantity Surveyor. You will be responsible for the commercial and contract management of our projects, working closely with project teams and building strong relationships with clients and the supply chain. The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related subject, 5+ years of experience in quantity surveying, and a good working knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts.

• Commercial delivery of project cash flow, budget, and contractual terms.
• Management of change, negotiation of contract amendments, and subcontract account management.
• Preparation of internal cost/commercial reports, including accurate margin forecasting.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or in a related subject (candidates with appropriate experience may be considered)
• 5+ years of experience in quantity surveying in the engineering or construction industry
• Good working knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts (particularly Options C & E)
• Demonstrable experience of successfully carrying out Quantity Surveying duties on multiple engineering and/or construction projects
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with project teams, clients, and the supply chain
• Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• PC literate in the Microsoft Office suite

Desirable

• Proficient in the use of the CEMAR Contract Management System
• Line management experience (for Commercial Manager)
• Current SC Clearance, or ability to achieve SC Clearance through NUVIA
• Full UK driving licence
• Flexibility to travel to other UK offices and sites on occasion as necessary
