Temporary Works Engineer H/F

Join VINCI Construction Grands Projets Canada, a leading construction company specializing in major civil engineering and building works. As a Temporary Works Engineer, you will support the Temporary Works Coordinator in planning, coordinating, and controlling all temporary works throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with third-party designers, verifying design compliance with applicable standards, collaborating with the construction team, and ensuring adherence to safety and procedural requirements.

• Coordination with third-party designers to ensure timely delivery of temporary works designs.
• Reviewing and technically challenging external designs to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Collaborating with the construction team to ensure temporary works are built according to approved design.
• Degree in Civil / Structural engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering
• 3-10 years experience in the civil construction industry with large infrastructure projects and significant exposure to Temporary Works
• Ontario Professional Engineer (ideally both civil & mechanical, or one of the two with experience in the other)
• Possesses of a formal health and safety qualification (e.g. NCSO, IOSH or CRST or CRSP or a Construction Certificate)

Formal TW Co-ordination training.

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to planning and take pragmatic approaches to problem resolution
• A good listener and agile communicator with a practical view of safety and an understanding of others needs/requirements
• Team-oriented with the ability to self-motivate
