Partner Engineer

Join Parafin, a fast-growing fintech company, as a Partner Engineer. In this customer-facing role, you will serve as a technical counterpart throughout the entire partnerships lifecycle, from integration execution to post-launch growth and support. You will leverage your technical expertise to solve complex partner and product problems, influence product direction, and build a scalable technical go-to-market function. • Lead technical discovery with partners, evaluating feasibility and driving scoping sessions to define integration approaches across diverse capital partnerships.
• Define a best-in-class technical pre-sales strategy and process at Parafin in collaboration with leadership, and develop detailed architectural blueprints and technical documentation for project implementation.
• Drive the technical implementation of new capital launches from initial planning through partner coordination, issue resolution, comprehensive testing, and final go-live.
• Great intuition for navigating standard/generalizable vs. custom partner solutions and guiding partners toward the optimal approach that considers both partner needs and engineering resourcing
• Ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to evolving requirements and priorities
• Demonstrated passion for helping small businesses grow and succeed, showing genuine dedication to the success of our partners
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a partner-focused approach. You have a demonstrated background of relentlessly raising the bar for great partner experience
• Strong engineering background with fluency in at least 2 programming languages a plus (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
• Proven experience in creating working demos and production applications, showcasing your ability to apply technical skills to practical use cases
• Comfortable exploring and navigating Parafin's codebase, particularly with proficiency in React, Scala, and Python
• Must have 3+ years of experience in client-facing technical roles, preferably in solutions engineering, software integration, technical partner support, customer success engineer or technical GTM engineer
• Proficiency in crafting clear technical documentation for effective knowledge sharing, troubleshooting, and best practice distribution to internal teams and external partners
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives
• Proficiency with integration technologies, such as REST APIs, webhooks, SDKs, data pipelines, and embeddable UI components
• Knowledge of our industry’s best practices for integration and technical scoping
• Experience working in Fintech is a plus
• Familiarity with SQL preferred
