Senior Software Engineer (UDS Registry Team)

Join Defense Unicorns, a leading defense technology company, as a Software Engineer specializing in Golang. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and end users to develop and maintain the UDS Registry, Pepr, and Lula. Your role will involve designing, implementing, and deploying features and systems that directly impact mission outcomes. You will also integrate software products with existing defense systems, own architecture decisions, and provide technical mentorship to the engineering team. • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and end users to ensure the development of effective solutions.
• Lead the design, implementation, and deployment of features and systems that directly impact mission outcomes.
• Integrate software products with existing defense systems, ensuring seamless interoperability and adherence to security protocols.
• Experience building a software tool with core focuses on software lifecycle and management
• Experience with Supply Chain Security (e.g., SBOMs, security scanning, etc.)
• 5+ years experience with software engineering
• Familiar with OCI Specifications (Image and Distribution)
• Excited to assess intricate problems, propose solutions, and implement them effectively
• Strong understanding of system design, APIs, databases, and cloud architecture (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, comfortable conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Familiar with Core Kubernetes Concepts
• Proficient in Go (proficiency in other modern programming languages a plus)
