About The Role
Join our award-winning team as a Data Engineer, where you'll work on challenging engineering projects and contribute to the success and growth of our business. You'll design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform, optimize data storage and processing, and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role requires expertise in Azure data services, ETL/ELT processes, database technologies, and cloud-based data architectures.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integration solutions on Azure, including ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse Analytics.
- Manage and enhance data lakes, data warehouses, and data storage solutions, ensuring data quality, security, governance, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and developers to deliver data-driven solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives and adoption of Azure data technologies.

- This role requires expertise in Azure data services, ETL/ELT processes, database technologies, and cloud-based data architectures
- Azure SQL Database and SQL Server
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling
- Azure Databricks
- Advanced SQL development and performance tuning skills
- Experience with Python, PySpark, or Scala for data processing
- Understanding cloud architecture and distributed data processing
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub
- Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
- Microsoft Fabric (preferred)
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Knowledge of data quality, data governance, and metadata management
- Familiarity with big data technologies and streaming solutions is advantageous
- Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and data integration patterns
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services
- Experience in Data Engineering, Database Development, or Data Integration
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203)
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
- Azure Database Administrator Associat
- This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer
