About The Role

Join AtkinsRéalis, a leading engineering and design consultancy, as an Electrical Engineering Team Lead. In this role, you will provide technical expertise, leadership to staff, and support for business development activities. You will oversee a team of engineers, technologists, and technicians, lead the design and implementation of electrical systems, and provide technical guidance and mentorship. You will also support business development initiatives, build and maintain client relationships, and drive continuous improvement in processes and project delivery efficiency.

  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for a variety of projects, including Functional Planning, Preliminary Design, Detailed Design, and Construction Administration services.
  • Lead and support business development initiatives, including proposal writing and strategic planning for the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering group in Western Canada.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships to support business growth and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Strong business acumen and client facing skills. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and relevant industry standards
  • Willing to travel occasionally within and outside of your province of residence
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with your local provincial engineering association, and willing to become a member in other provinces
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • AutoCAD or Revit experience is an asset
  • PMP designation or CAPM certification is an asset
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, and motivating a team of engineers and designers
  • Demonstrable experience building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients (i.e. understanding client objectives, anticipating and meeting client needs, and growing our business)
  • Minimum 12 years’ of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering consulting with progressive responsibilities. At least 3 years experience in managing/coordinating technical teams
