About The Role

Join Lightship, a pioneering company in the electric vehicle industry. As a Software Engineer specializing in Android UI/UX and Systems Interfacing, you will be the primary architect of the user experience related to vehicle controls and transforming telemetry data into an intuitive mobile interface. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of our cloud infrastructure.   • Architect the user experience for vehicle controls and telemetry data transformation into a mobile interface.
  • Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs, third-party libraries, and cloud services for seamless functionality.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment, and collaborate with designers, product managers, and test engineers.
  • Experience with Embedded Linux and Linux system services
  • Basic knowledge of ProtoBufs, MQTT, WebSockets, and restricted-bandwidth data protocols
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience using Flutter for cross-platform application development
  • Basic knowledge of UI design and reactive UI patterns
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
  • Experience working with databases such as SQLite
  • Experience using version control tools like Git and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency developing with Kotlin for Android
  • Proficiency in C#, Python
  • Hands-on experience with AWS IoT Core, Lambda
  • Familiarity with Ethernet, WiFi, LTE, and Bluetooth
  • Familiarity with GTest Framework or equivalent
  • Experience with XCode and TestFlight
  • Experience working with cross-functional software, hardware, test, and manufacturing teams
