Forward Deployed Engineer

You will act as a trusted technical advisor, embedding with customer teams to understand their business needs and build tailored solutions using Sigma. You will lead implementations from kickoff to production, run live technical sessions, monitor performance in production, and build lasting relationships with customers. • Lead implementations from kickoff to production, connecting Sigma to customer data platforms and building solutions that fit their use case.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, embedding with their teams to understand their business and design the right solutions in Sigma.
• Build lasting trust with customers, spotting new opportunities for Sigma to help, whether that's a new team, a new use case, or a new data source.
• The organization to manage several customer engagements at once in a fast-moving environment
• Clear communication at every level of an organization, from analysts to senior executives, in both technical and business terms
• Strong SQL and hands-on data modeling. You can shape messy source data into something a business team can actually use
• Direct experience with cloud data platforms: Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift
• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role: forward deployed engineering, solutions or sales engineering, analytics engineering, professional services, or similar
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent technical and business experience
• A track record building production analytics or data apps, with ownership from design through deployment
• Comfort with ambiguity and the independence to drive an engagement without a script
• Experience with Sigma or comparable analytics platforms such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
• ETL and transformation experience with tools like Fivetran, dbt, or Matillion
• Python or a similar language for building integrations, APIs, and supporting tooling
• Experience embedding analytics into customer-facing applications
• Hands-on work with enterprise data governance and security requirements
