About The Role

Join our team as a Staff Software Engineer, where you will develop and implement new features and algorithms for our core engine, increase the reliability and performance of existing components, and mentor your teammates. You will work with modern C++ and have a significant background in database internals or building core components for large-scale data processing systems.

Develop and implement new features and algorithms for the core engine, increasing reliability and performance.
Identify and implement novel query optimization, transaction management, or distributed data processing algorithms.
Mentor and grow teammates, set an example for best practices in database usage and end-to-end architecture.
8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
Experienced in programming with C++ (17)
Significant background in database internals or building core components (query optimization, query execution, storage engines, transaction processing) for large-scale data processing systems (e.g., Starrocks, ClickHouse, etc)
Have an analytical mind and a good understanding of complex data structures and algorithms in data management
BS in Computer science; Masters or Ph.D. preferred
Have a curiosity about how things work and a desire to improve them
