About The Role
Join HPE as the Manager of Hardware Sustaining Engineering, where you will lead a team of hardware sustaining engineers, manage multiple failure analysis and design change projects, engage with customers, and drive proactive quality improvement in new products. You will collaborate with various teams, track team performance, and have opportunities for personal and professional development.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- Expertise in hardware quality, failure analysis, root-cause/corrective action (RCCA),
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple concurrent programs and priorities and delivering results on schedule
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience communicating with executive leadership and major customers
- Skilled in coaching, team building and supporting career growth of team members
- Experience in high-speed digital hardware design, test and de-bug
- Experience in a hardware design or failure analysis role including 3+ years leading and managing a hardware engineering team
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- Strong customer focus, and ability to act as "voice of customer" in driving HW quality, reliability and serviceability goals
- 5 years or more in a team manager role with direct reports
- Familiar with schematic and FPGA design, PCB layout, and manufacturing processes flow
- Experience working with CM and ODM partners across the world to investigate and remediate HW quality issues
- Skilled at compiling and analyzing data, working with quality metrics, dashboards (Tableau) and OKRs
- Familiarity with networking hardware components, interfaces, and systems. Ability to review system level test plans and test results and distill down to hardware specifics
- Experience with product-lifecycle change management tools such as Agile PLM
