Principal ASIC Design Engineer

Join our team as a Principal ASIC Design Engineer, where you will design, analyze, develop, modify, and evaluate VLSI components and hardware systems. You will determine architecture and logic design, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results to enable prototype and production VLSI solutions. You will also provide technical leadership for significant project/program work, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers and interns. • Design, analyze, develop, modify, and evaluate VLSI components and hardware systems, determining architecture and logic design.
• Lead the design implementation using Verilog or System Verilog, ensuring the module meets power targets and collaborating with the verification team.
• Provide technical leadership for significant project/program work, directing support personnel in the preparation of detailed design and prototype fabrication.
• Knowledge of Computer Architecture/networking protocols through prior work is strongly desired
• Knowledge of Perl/Python is strongly desired
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required (Master’s strongly desired) with 15+ years of relevant experience
• Strong coding skills in Verilog/System Verilog through previous work experience are necessary
• Knowledge of synthesis/lint and other tools used in typical ASIC development process is highly desired
• Strong analytical/ problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills is necessary
• Demonstrated skills in leading and implementing high performance subsystems from specification to final netlist
