About The Role
Join Sony Interactive Entertainment as a Senior Software Quality Engineer. In this contract role, you will be responsible for end-to-end testing of iOS mobile applications, collaborating with software engineers, SDETs, and product teams. You will execute comprehensive test plans, expand automation coverage, and help deliver high-quality releases. Strong automation experience and familiarity with iOS testing are required.
- Execute end-to-end testing activities for iOS mobile applications, including functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Review product requirements, UX flows, and technical designs to identify test scenarios and develop comprehensive test plans.
- Collaborate with developers and SDETs to identify opportunities to increase automation coverage and improve overall test effectiveness.
- Experience testing on iOS simulators, physical devices, and cloud testing platforms such as Sauce Labs or BrowserStack
- Experience creating test plans, identifying test scenarios, and executing comprehensive manual and automated testing
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt in a fast-paced development environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across distributed teams
- Basic programming or scripting experience (Python preferred; Java, JavaScript, or C# is a plus) sufficient to understand automation frameworks, troubleshoot failures, and contribute where appropriate
- Familiarity with automation frameworks such as Pytest, WebdriverIO, or Playwright, with the ability to review automated tests, troubleshoot failures, and collaborate with automation engineers
- Hands-on experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Appium and familiarity with Python-based automation
- Understanding of the iOS application release lifecycle, including TestFlight, build pipelines, versioning, and release validation
- 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering, with strong hands-on experience testing iOS mobile applications
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
- Experience with GitHub Actions
- Experience testing applications that interact with cloud services or REST APIs
- Familiarity with PlayStation SDKs
- Experience testing PlayStation or gaming-related applications
