Software Engineer (Frontend/Full Stack)

Join the Accounts & Identity team at PlayStation, where you'll develop highly scalable client and Java-based systems that connect users with their favorite social and entertainment experiences. As a Software Engineer, you'll design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software, while collaborating with product managers, architects, engineers, and operations team members. You should have a BS degree in computer science or equivalent, with 3+ years of strong hands-on Java development experience, and experience developing front-end applications using React Native and React Web.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software for highly scalable client and Java-based systems.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, engineers, and operations team members to build highly robust solutions.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise, and perform in-depth requirement analysis and design/code reviews.
• BS degree in computer science or equivalent with 3+ years of strong hands-on Java (ideally Reactive Java Programming) development experience for backend web services using Spring boot framework
• Passion for quality with the ability to inspire, excite and motivate other team members
• Experience with servlet containers (e.g., Tomcat), JAXRS, Spring, Spring Boot and related technologies
• Experience developing REST based web services also utilizing JSON and XML
• Must have - Experience with GraphQL including the Apollo Client and GraphQL-compliant server stacks
• Experience developing services built for deployment into AWS EC2 or EKS using Docker
• Experience with tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Jenkins, JIRA, Git etc
• Experience developing applications on Unix/Linux platforms
• Works well with others at all levels and is effective at working with geographically remote and culturally diverse teams
• Would like to have – Experience with Swift and Objective C
• Must have - Experience developing front end applications using React Native, React Native for Web, React Web
• Must have - Experience developing Mobile/Computer Apps targeting iOS, Android and PC environments
• Experience with agile development methodologies and familiarity with continuous integration and deployment processes
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results and a proactive approach to overcoming obstacles
