About The Role

Join Sony Interactive Entertainment as a Staff Technical Program Manager. In this role, you will be at the center of our software development lifecycle, creating plans, defining processes, monitoring progress, and coordinating releases. You will work closely with development teams in the UK and Ireland, as well as stakeholders in the US and Japan. Your efforts will contribute to the PlayStation® developer platform and the success of Sony Interactive Entertainment.

  • Coordination of resources across the full software development lifecycle, helping to construct roadmaps, managing stakeholder input, highlighting dependencies, mitigating risks and handling unexpected disruptions.
  • Creation of project plans for software projects contributing to the PlayStation® developer platform, and coordination of stakeholders to align on agreed objectives, milestones and quality expectations.
  • Contribution to the wider TPM organisation, sharing and developing best practices, ways of working and common frameworks that other groups can leverage.
  • This position is ideally suited to Technical Program Managers with a strong software engineering background, including practical hands-on experience
  • 8+ years' relevant project management experience
  • Experience working with Agile software development methodologies (e.g. Scrum)
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
  • A project management qualification (PMI, APM or equivalent) would be an advantage
  • Experience managing multiple software development projects in parallel
  • Strong software engineering background, ideally with practical hands-on experience
  • A continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience delivering change management or standardisation initiatives
  • Experience managing multiple software development projects involving medium to high complexity, multiple organisations and globally distributed teams
  • A proven track record of delivering projects on schedule
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with business process improvement
  • Experience working on large developer platforms
  • Understanding of modern software development practices, languages and tooling
  • Experience working with AI or agentic tooling
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence
  • Experience working with Japanese and US teams and cultures
