About The Role

Join Solaris, a leading FinTech company, as a Financial Planning & Analysis Intern. In this role, you will gain valuable insights into the bank's performance and contribute to its success by providing relevant insights to various stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include supporting the target-setting process, assisting in daily operations, and delivering detailed insights into company performance.   • Supporting the target-setting process for the overall organization, including revenues, costs, and capital planning.
  • Assisting the Planning and Controlling team in steering toward the achievement of defined objectives, while ensuring transparency of business results.
  • Creating financial models for business decisions, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and monitoring the revenue and expense budget.
  • At the same time, you are a strong team player and an effective communicator who can operate in a diverse team cross-functionally, take ownership, and demonstrate self-initiative
  • Knowledge of the main office IT tools (in particular Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) and knowledge of programming languages (such as VBA, Python or SQL) are required
  • You have an entrepreneurial hands-on and can-do mentality with exceptional analytical expertise and the greatest attention to detail
  • Previous experience in Investment banking, Private equity or M&A is strongly beneficial
  • An Education with a <B.Sc>. or <M.Sc>. in Economics, Finance, Business, or Mathematics is preferred. Specialization in Controlling or Accounting is a plus
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting standards (especially HGB and IFRS) is a strong plus and banking knowledge/expertise is preferred
  • Professional fluency in English in both speaking and writing is required; German is a significant plus
  • Previous internships as a Financial analyst intern, M&A intern, Investment banking intern, or Private equity intern, preferably with touchpoints of the whole P&L statement, are preferred
  • Financial modeling skills are required
  • Interest in FinTech and Financial Services is a strong plus and experience in dealing with auditors and regulators is beneficial
