Internal Audit Working Student
Solaris · Berlin, Germany
About The Role
Join Solaris, Europe's leading embedded finance platform, as an Internal Audit Working Student. In this role, you will assist the Audit Office with day-to-day activities, support the preparation of reports and analyses, help maintain and update audit documentation, and contribute to the further development of auditing methods. You will gain valuable experience in the field of auditing and project management while working in a dynamic and innovative environment.
- Assist the Audit Office with day-to-day activities, including project management activities, analysis of external audit reports and work plan coordination.
- Support the preparation of reports, analyses and evaluations, and help to maintain and update audit documentation, trackers and tools.
- Contribute to the further development of the auditing methods, support the restructuring of audit processes, and carry out general back-office and administrative support tasks for the Internal Audit function.
- Depending on your level of experience, your responsibilities and scope of role will range. We don’t care much about fancy titles, but rather about real personal and professional development, as laid out in our learning framework. Let’s figure together out how you can contribute to our team
- First practical experience (e.g. internship or working student role) in an audit role / consultancy firm or in project management is an advantage
- Currently enrolled as a student (Bachelor’s or Master’s), preferably in Finance, Economics, Business Management or Law
- Familiarity with - or willingness to learn - audit software processing systems
- Analytical - you enjoy digging into the detail, making sense of data and spotting the patterns that others miss
- Basic knowledge of regulatory standards
- Fluent in both English and German Language skills
- Confident handling of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Initial exposure to project management and restructuring activities (ideally related to audit processes and implementation of Internal Audit related standards)
- Initial understanding of auditing techniques (ToD and ToE)
- Eager to learn - curious by nature, you ask questions, welcome feedback and want to understand the 'why' behind the work
- Hands-on mentality - happy to roll up your sleeves, take ownership of a task and see it through to the finish
- While job ads usually paint an ideal picture of a candidate, studies show that most applicants meet an average of 60% of the criteria. Unfortunately, many promising candidates tend to apply only if they meet all the criteria. So if you think you have what it takes, but don't necessarily meet every single item in the job description, please contact us anyway. We'd love to talk with you and find out if you might be a good fit for us
