Analytics Engineer

Join Oscar Health as an Analytics Engineer I, where you'll design, build, and maintain dimensional models and data transformations. You'll work within Oscar's unified data foundation, collaborating with domain experts and stakeholders to capture business logic and translate it into analytical assets. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to grow your skills in dimensional modeling, SQL, and analytics engineering within a healthcare environment. The position is based in New York City with a hybrid work schedule.

• Design, build, and maintain dimensional models and data transformations to convert raw operational data into reliable analytical assets.
• Collaborate with domain experts and stakeholders to capture business logic and translate it into dimensional models that serve analytics use cases.
• Implement automated tests to ensure long-term data product health, and contribute to the semantic layer that powers enterprise business intelligence.
• 1+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
• 1+ years of experience with cloud database tools (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• 1+ years of experience working with SQL
• 1+ years of experience developing in a semantic modeling language (e.g. LookML)
• 1+ years of experience developing within a modern data transformation tool like DBT
• Experience working with healthcare or insurance industry data, analytics, and reporting
• Experience building dimensional models (star schemas, slowly changing dimensions)
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and dbt
• Strong communication skills, as demonstrated by experience partnering with non-technical stakeholders
