Analytics Engineer

Join CurbWaste as an Analytics Engineer and help build our data and analytics function from the ground up. In this foundational role, you'll work closely with engineering to shape our data infrastructure, partner with business teams to deliver metrics and dashboards, and play a key role in preparing data for AI-powered features. You'll have the autonomy to identify what matters, build it, and own it.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or similar), with strong academic performance
• Strong communicator who can translate data into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
• Deep SQL expertise. You can write complex queries, optimize performance, and model data cleanly
• Demonstrated grit and resourcefulness. You thrive in high-growth, fast-moving, and often ambiguous environments
• Mission-driven attitude. You care about helping customers win and making a real impact
• 4+ years of experience with the modern data stack: a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift), a transformation layer or an orchestrator (dbt, Airflow, Prefect), and a modern BI tool (Looker, Sigma, Hex, Metabase). You should have strong opinions about how to architect data pipelines
• Some programming ability (Python, JavaScript) for data manipulation or automation
• Exposure to the waste, logistics, or industrial sectors
• Background in both operational and financial analytics
• Experience preparing data for machine learning or analytics-driven product features
