Staff Software Engineer (Platform)

About The Role
Join Zus, a healthcare technology startup, as a Staff Software Engineer on the platform team. You will work on core data services, APIs, and collaborate with product managers and internal users. - Collaborate with product managers and internal users to ensure the platform meets customer needs.
- Provide technical leadership, contributing to the architecture and design of the team’s systems.
- Build and operate data services driving applications and APIs, and coach others to become better engineers.
- The ideal candidate will be excited to take on the challenge of processing, storing and delivering the entire health records of millions of patients, providing low latency and high-availability for all operations
- You are creative, innovative and think deeply about both the technical problems and business problems our customers are facing
- Have experience with operationally stable, scalable, and cost efficient data services
- Are in the Boston metro and excited to collaborate in person on a hybrid schedule, or are remote (EST/CST) but willing to travel for in person collaboration occasionally
- Enjoy owning your work and seeing it deploy safely in production
- Are interested in the business problems our customers face
- Are excited to ~ finally! ~ enable a true digital revolution in healthcare
- Enjoy collaboration and solving unique problems
- Thrive amid the changing landscape of a growing and evolving startup
- Are jazzed to build backend services in Go
- Have experience using Cloud Data Warehouses such as Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift or Databricks
- Learn fast and enjoy open-ended technical challenges
- Have experience with at least one of the following: deployment technologies (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.), cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Experienced in building and running large-scale systems in the cloud using Go
- Experienced in AWS DynamoDB
- Knowledgeable about application security
- Experienced in working with healthcare data and APIs
- Familiar with the FHIR and/or TEFCA standards
