Staff Software Engineer (Platform)

Join Zus, a healthcare technology startup, as a Staff Software Engineer on the platform team. You will work on core data services, APIs, and collaborate with product managers and internal users. • Collaborate with product managers and internal users to ensure the platform meets customer needs.
• Provide technical leadership, contributing to the architecture and design of the team’s systems.
• Build and operate data services driving applications and APIs, and coach others to become better engineers.
• The ideal candidate will be excited to take on the challenge of processing, storing and delivering the entire health records of millions of patients, providing low latency and high-availability for all operations
• You are creative, innovative and think deeply about both the technical problems and business problems our customers are facing
• Have experience with operationally stable, scalable, and cost efficient data services
• Are in the Boston metro and excited to collaborate in person on a hybrid schedule, or are remote (EST/CST) but willing to travel for in person collaboration occasionally
• Enjoy owning your work and seeing it deploy safely in production
• Are interested in the business problems our customers face

• Are jazzed to build backend services in Go
• Have experience using Cloud Data Warehouses such as Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift or Databricks
• Learn fast and enjoy open-ended technical challenges
• Have experience with at least one of the following: deployment technologies (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.), cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
• Experienced in building and running large-scale systems in the cloud using Go
• Experienced in AWS DynamoDB
• Knowledgeable about application security
• Experienced in working with healthcare data and APIs
• Familiar with the FHIR and/or TEFCA standards
