Senior Associate of Fraud Analytics

Join Avant, a leading fintech company, as a Senior Associate of Fraud Analytics. In this critical role, you will utilize data to identify fraud trends, develop and deploy strategies to combat fraud attacks, and manage the performance of fraud strategies to meet company KPIs. You will work with stakeholders throughout the company to leverage data for business solutions and communicate results to senior management.

• Utilize data to identify fraud trends and develop strategies to combat fraud attacks across credit card transactions.
• Develop and implement fraud rules using analytical methods, and use visualization tools to build dashboards and monitor key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging company data and third-party vendor data to drive business solutions.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management
• High level of inquisitiveness, initiative, and critical thinking
• Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Statistics, Business Analytics, related field (Master's Or PHD preferred), or comparable experience
• 5+ years of analytical experience in the consumer finance industry (Identity or Transactional fraud experience preferred)
• Prior experience in statistics and machine learning modeling techniques through coursework or professional experience
• 5+ years of experience conducting data analytics in a lending/banking organization
• Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with key attention to detail
• Ability to translate analysis results into clearly defined and implementable strategies/rules
• Proven ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to independently manage small to medium projects and provide support for larger projects, ensuring implementation and team collaboration
• Demonstrates sound judgment in selecting solutions and methods
• 5+ years of experience leveraging data tools such as SQL, R, Python
