Federal Platform Engineer

Join our team as a Federal Platform Engineer, where you will lead the deployment and operation of our product infrastructure in various federal environments. Your expertise in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and tools like Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab CI will be essential in creating scalable and secure systems. • Help lead the deployment and operation of product infrastructure in multiple federal environments, including FedRAMP and Classified workloads.
• Implement highly scalable, secure, resilient cloud-native application platforms that host core company applications and services.
• Design and implement tooling for the internal platform to collect telemetry data used to gauge its effectiveness in supporting engineers.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform engineering, or related roles
• Ability to manage concurrent initiatives and use effective judgment in prioritization and time management
• Strong understanding and experience with solution design and flow
• Excellent analytical/problem solving ability
• Strong technical documentation and communication
• Creative, self-motivated, pragmatic, disciplined, detail and results oriented
• Possess or ability to gain and maintain Top Secret security clearance required

• Experience using Claude Code or other AI-enabled development tooling
• Database (AuroraRDS - Postgres)

• Secret Management (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secret Manager, External Secrets Operator)
• Configuration Management (Ansible)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Crossplane)

• Programming Languages (GoLang required, Python a plus)
• MS in Computer Science a plus
• Networking (VPC, VPCe, RT53)
• Security (IAM Roles and Policies, KMS, Cloudtrail)
• US Citizen Required

• Bachelors in Computer Science or STEM or equivalent experience
• Gitlab CI/CD

• Experience in FedRAMP, CC SRG, NIST 800-53, or Authority to Operate (ATO) process
