About The Role
Join E-Space, a company dedicated to making data universally available, secure, and actionable anywhere on the planet. As a Mechanical Engineer (Structures), you will play a critical role in designing satellite structures and mechanisms, managing complex CAD assemblies and drawings, and driving the development of build documents and drawings for your hardware. You will also define, build, and test your designs, and support the fabrication assembly and testing of our flight build. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Aerospace, or equivalent real-world design and build experience, as well as at least 2 years of hands-on experience using CAD skills to develop and build models and drawings.
- Collaborate with the satellite design team to design satellite structures and mechanisms, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
- Lead mechanical engineering design reviews, driving the development of build documents and drawings for hardware.
- Define, build, and test designs from 3D printed engineering units to flight hardware, supporting the fabrication assembly and testing of flight builds.
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Aerospace or equivalent real-world design and build experience
- You have at least 2 years of hands-on experience using your CAD skills to develop and build models and drawings
- You have experience with mechanical design to survive extreme environments and challenging mass constraints
- You have successfully implemented your design solutions in a complex space
