About The Role
Join Normal Computing, a company focused on redefining computing for the next 20 years. As a Hardware Engineer (Analog), you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of our CIM substrate, including architecture and schematic design, layout, tapeout, custom PCB development, and post-silicon bringup. You will lead the full analog development cycle, the full PCB development cycle, and ensure the functionality of the PCB you designed and manufactured. You will collaborate with analog, digital, and ML engineers to improve system-level PPA.
- Ownership of the end-to-end development of CIM substrate, including architecture, schematic design, layout, tapeout, and post-silicon bringup.
- Leading the full analog development cycle, including research, exploratory design, and evaluation of CIM architectures.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve system-level performance, power, and area (PPA).
- Worked on memory technologies (i.e. SRAM, DRAM) at bitcell and array level
- Characterized past chips for reliability over PVT and Monte Carlo
- Owned a PCB end-to-end through design, fabrication and bringup
- Fluent in the Cadence flow: Virtuoso, Spectre, Assembler, Extraction, Layout
- Designed and characterized custom bitcells in schematic and layout
- Developed analog IP from spec to GDSII in modern technologies, taped out and brought up
- Experienced and comfortable in a lab bench environment including soldering with a microscope
- Have used scripting languages (i.e. Python, Perl) to automate design flows and data post-processing
- Lead, taped out, brought up CIM chips
- Lead, fabricated, brought up custom PCBs to evaluate custom CIM chips
