Senior Backend Engineer (Client Integrations)

Join our Client Integrations team as a Senior Backend Engineer. You'll design and build API endpoints, improve database performance, and integrate with third-party services. You'll collaborate with a global team of engineers and take full ownership of your work. Strong experience in Python, relational databases, and serverless technologies is required.

• Design and build API endpoints, improve database and query performance, and integrate with third-party services.
• Translate product requirements into reliable business logic, help diagnose and resolve customer issues, and contribute to platform improvements.
• Collaborate with a global team of engineers to build scalable backend solutions, take full ownership of your work, and drive projects to completion.

• Bonus: experience with LLMs/generative AI, distributed systems

• Have strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving
• Communicate proactively, surfacing blockers, asking the right questions, keeping stakeholders in the loop
• Know Python (our main stack), though we're open to strong candidates from other OO backgrounds
• Are comfortable with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL
• Have experience with serverless technologies (Lambda, EC2), asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments
• Have 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with time spent building external-facing APIs or designing integrations with 3rd party systems
