About The Role

Join our multi-subsidiary company as a People Operations Coordinator. In this hybrid role based in San Francisco, you will support various areas of the organization, including HR, office management, and IT. Your responsibilities will include managing payroll, maintaining employee files, preparing documentation, executing employee initiatives, and managing office supplies. The ideal candidate will have experience in a startup or small company environment, strong communication skills, and a self-motivated, organized mindset.

  • Assisting with payroll processing, maintaining employee files, and preparing documentation related to employee relations matters.
  • Supporting the execution and communication of employee-facing initiatives, such as benefits engagement and company intranet updates.
  • Managing company laptop inventory, troubleshooting equipment issues, and coordinating service as needed.
  • Effective project planning to break broad goals into actionable steps, work through obstacles, and execute to completion
  • Experience in a startup or small company environment highly preferred
  • The right candidate will have opportunities for mentorship, professional development, and growth as they learn and demonstrate their strengths
  • Working familiarity with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office Suite and Apple equipment
  • This is a Hybrid On-Site role: you must be able to report to our downtown San Francisco office at least twice per week
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree + 1-2 years experience, or at least 4 years experience in a professional office environment
  • The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly organized, and possess exceptional integrity
  • Confidence and professionalism to interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization
  • Strong written communication skills for both person-to-person collaboration (e.g. email, meeting agendas) and formal documentation (company policies)
  • Strong reading comprehension (e.g. to interpret employment law) and independent research skills
  • You should be comfortable having a collaborative relationship with your direct manager but must also be able to research, work, and follow-up independently while balancing multiple projects and routine tasks
  • Unchallengeable integrity and tact when handling confidential or sensitive information
  • You must have current U.S. work authorization
  • Ability to analyze situations to identify core problems and propose multiple solutions
  • Consistent organization and attention to detail with a 'leave it better than you found it' mentality
  • Tech-savvy and able to learn and navigate new systems independently
  • Intrinsic motivation to improve the company, systems, and yourself through feedback and continuous learning
