About The Role

Join Happen Bank as a SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements. You will prepare and review SEC filings, research complex accounting matters, and partner cross-functionally to evaluate accounting implications of new products and initiatives. You will also monitor emerging accounting standards, continuously improve financial reporting processes, and support the annual external audit.   • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective collaborator who builds strong relationships across Finance and business teams while adapting to changing priorities and feedback
  • 4+ years of experience in SEC reporting, technical accounting, public accounting, or a related field, and a bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research complex accounting issues and communicate conclusions clearly
  • You actively look for ways AI can improve your work-from accelerating research and analysis to enhancing drafting and problem solving-and you're thoughtful about accuracy, data sensitivity, and where human judgment is essential
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and financial statement preparation
  • Active CPA license
  • Experience preparing SEC filings using Workiva
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience within the banking or financial services industry
