Accounting Manager (18 Month Contract)

About The Role
Join Clio, a high-growth SaaS company, as an Accounting Manager for an 18-month contract. In this role, you will manage the general ledger, consolidated reporting, and month-end close, while leading a team of accountants. You will also support the annual consolidated external audit process, identify potential technical accounting issues, and design end-to-end standard operating procedures. This is a unique opportunity for a CPA to make a significant impact on a rapidly expanding organization.
- Manage the general ledger, consolidated reporting, and the month-end close process for the parent and international subsidiaries.
- Lead a talented team of accountants while personally driving complex technical accounting research and policy design.
- Support the annual consolidated external audit process, and lead the statutory audits for international subsidiaries, acting as the primary liaison for local auditors.
- Proven experience managing the month-end close process for a multi-entity, multi-currency global organization
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate accounting impacts to non-finance stakeholders and collaborate effectively across the business
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP (and/or IFRS) is required. You must be comfortable researching complex accounting topics and writing technical memos
- A passion for leadership with demonstrated experience managing and mentoring a team of accountants. You know how to balance review/oversight with individual contributor work
- CPA designation is required, with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. A combination of public accounting and industry experience in a high-growth technology environment is ideal
- Experience with major ERP systems (NetSuite is highly desirable) and an aptitude for implementing automation to streamline manual workflows
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities while maintaining a high attention to detail
- Experience working in an environment with robust internal controls. You understand the rigour required for best-in-class financial reporting
