Staff Accountant

Join our Finance team as a Staff Accountant, where you will support the accounting function, execute the month-end close cycle, assist with monthly reporting, manage inventory, and support accounts payable. You will also help with monthly budget variance analysis, annual audits, and other ad-hoc projects. This role requires a strong understanding of full-cycle accounting processes, 2-3 years of experience as a staff accountant, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including handling major balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring audit readiness.
• Manage Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) ledgers, accurately record payments, and efficiently maintain and onboard both vendors and customers.
• Conduct monthly budget-versus-actual variance analysis on departmental expenses to provide actionable insights to management.

• A strong understanding of full-cycle accounting processes and essential Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• 2 to 3 years of proven experience working as a staff accountant
• Proven ability to manage multiple competing deadlines, especially during peak close periods
• A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science
• Hands-on experience executing month-end close and financial reporting procedures
• Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Prior experience working with NetSuite and/or other major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
• Previous experience thriving in a fast-paced start-up environment
• Exposure to Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business models and merchandising operations
