Lead Java Developer (3-6 Month Contract)

Join Storyteq, a visionary SaaS marketing company, as a Lead Java Developer. In this contract position, you'll work at the heart of our Backend development function, developing complex Java code and collaborating with a team of like-minded professionals. You'll be responsible for estimating development effort, defining and executing the development strategy, conducting code reviews, and producing well-documented, clean code. This role offers the flexibility of working from home, 25 days of holidays plus bank holidays, health insurance, and more.

• Lead the development of complex Java code, working with both monolithic and microservices architecture.
• Estimate development effort on projects, help define and execute the development strategy.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality standards are upheld and provide recommendations on development approaches.

• Demonstrable Java Development experience, across both monolithic and microservices architecture
• Proven ability to deliver multiple projects
• Strong knowledge of software development practices, processes, and theories, especially around Agile Development Principles
• Knowledge of at least one MVC Web development framework (preferably Spring MVC)
• You'll be coding on a daily basis, naturally
• Knowledge of Test-Driven Development
