About The Role

Join Funding Circle, a fintech company on a mission to support small businesses in the UK. As the Platform & Workplace Engineering Director, you will lead two engineering teams, deliver cloud platform reliability and performance, execute the roadmap for enterprise services, track operational metrics, and act as a senior operational escalation point for major incidents. You should have a track record of leading engineering teams at scale and deep credibility in either cloud platform or modern enterprise engineering.

Leading and developing two engineering teams — Cloud Platform and Enterprise Services — setting technical direction, hiring and performance standards.
Delivering the reliability, performance and cost-efficiency of the cloud platform underpinning production services, including SLOs, on-call and incident response practices.
Executing the roadmap for enterprise services and identity, treating internal IT as an engineering discipline — automation-first, self-service where possible.
