Revenue Accountant

Join Runway, a leading technology company, as a Revenue Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for owning and scaling the revenue accounting function, managing the full-cycle Order-to-Cash process, and implementing controls over the revenue process. You will work closely with various departments, including Sales, Post Sales, FP&A, and Legal, to resolve revenue and billing questions. • Ownership and management of the revenue accounting function, including revenue recognition, invoicing, collections, accounts receivable, and deferred revenue.
• Preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analyses for all revenue-related accounts, and driving the revenue close process.
• Leading process improvements across revenue workflows, building revenue recognition workbooks for new products, and partnering with various departments to resolve revenue and billing questions.
• 3+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience, with ASC 606 experience in a SaaS or technology environment
• Strong understanding of internal controls and audit coordination
• Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, or comparable ERP/CRM systems; advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA a plus
• Detail-oriented self-starter who takes initiative, thrives in ambiguity, and is always looking to improve the process
• Big 4 or public accounting experience
