Engineering Manager (Travel)

Join Brex, a fast-growing financial technology company, as an Engineering Manager in the Travel group. In this role, you will build and lead a new full-stack team, set the technical and product direction, and foster a people-centered culture. You will have high autonomy to define how the team works and make real decisions about what to build and why.

• Construire et diriger une nouvelle équipe full-stack responsable d'une partie définie de l'expérience de voyage de prochaine génération de Brex, en la développant par le biais de l'embauche et de l'intégration de nouveaux ingénieurs.
• Définir et affiner en permanence le mandat de l'équipe au sein du groupe Voyage plus large, en déterminant ce qu'elle possède, où se situent ses limites et où elle devrait se concentrer.
• Établir la direction technique et produit de l'équipe, en prenant des décisions réfléchies sur ce qu'il faut construire, dans quel ordre et pourquoi.
• Demonstrated coaching and mentorship of engineers across levels
• Track record of engineering leadership building and scaling customer-facing products, including hiring and growing teams
• A staff-engineer-level technical bar; able to operate at all levels and earn the technical respect of a strong engineering team
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong product sense — the ability to make and defend product and UX tradeoffs, not just technical ones
• Strong customer empathy and advocacy
• Travel domain experience (e.g., online booking / travel management platforms such as Navan or similar)
• Experience standing up a new team or product area from scratch
