Engineering Manager (Travel)

Join Brex, a fast-growing financial technology company, as an Engineering Manager in our Travel group. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a new full-stack team focused on our next-generation travel experience. You will have high autonomy to define the team's mandate, set the technical and product direction, and foster a people-centered culture. You will also have the chance to partner cross-functionally and provide strong coaching and mentorship to engineers at all levels.

• Construire et diriger une nouvelle équipe responsable d'une partie définie de l'expérience de voyage de prochaine génération de Brex.
• Définir et affiner en permanence le mandat de l'équipe au sein du groupe Voyage plus large, en déterminant ce qu'elle possède, où se situent ses limites et où elle devrait se concentrer.
• Établir la direction technique et produit de l'équipe, en prenant des décisions réfléchies sur ce qu'il faut construire, dans quel ordre et pourquoi.
• A staff-engineer-level technical bar; able to operate at all levels and earn the technical respect of a strong engineering team
• Strong customer empathy and advocacy
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Track record of engineering leadership building and scaling customer-facing products, including hiring and growing teams
• Demonstrated coaching and mentorship of engineers across levels
• Strong product sense — the ability to make and defend product and UX tradeoffs, not just technical ones
• Travel domain experience (e.g., online booking / travel management platforms such as Navan or similar)
• Experience standing up a new team or product area from scratch
