About The Role

Join Brex as a Partner Manager, Private Equity, where you'll be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with private equity firms and their portfolio companies on the West Coast. This individual contributor role requires a high degree of professionalism, relationship instincts, and a track record of success in outbound relationship development. You'll engage with partners and executives, generate pipeline through personalized outreach, and collaborate with account executives to support deal progression.

  • Establish and grow a focused book of West Coast private equity relationships, actively engaging with partners and portfolio-company executives.
  • Proactively generate new pipeline through outbound prospecting into West Coast private equity firms and portfolio companies, and track pipeline metrics.
  • Collaborate with account executives to ensure timely follow-up on private equity-sourced opportunities and support deal progression through close.
  • Established credibility in the private equity ecosystem; able to hold a room with partners and portfolio company executives from day one
  • High degree of professionalism and relationship instincts; able to build trust quickly with PE partners and cross-functional Brex teams
  • Track record of success in outbound relationship development. Comfortable with high-volume, highly personalized outreach and motivated by pipeline-generation goals
  • 3-6 years of experience in PE business development, sourcing, partnerships, or a related quota-carrying, relationship-driven role with exposure to the private equity ecosystem
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present clearly to internal stakeholders and senior external counterparts
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, evolving environment while staying tightly aligned with a remote team lead
  • Based in San Francisco; comfortable being in-market multiple evenings per week for dinners, events, and networking
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple active firm relationships and workstreams simultaneously
