Staff Software Engineer (Travel & Expense)

• Identifying and driving resolution for high-impact technical problems across the Travel & Expense domain, particularly those that span multiple teams.
• Setting and raising the technical bar through design reviews, architecture decisions, and hands-on work, while mentoring senior engineers.
• Collaborating with existing Staff Engineers and Engineering Managers to align on direction and unblock execution, while contributing to the group's technical strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and drive ambiguous, cross-cutting problems to resolution without a defined charter
• Strong collaboration skills; a track record of raising the bar for engineers around you and working effectively with both ICs and managers
• Deep experience designing and operating large-scale backend systems in production
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of technical leadership across multiple teams or a group
• Excellent written and verbal communication
