About The Role

Join Arista Networks as an Electrical New Product Engineering Manager (ENPIE). In this leadership role, you will manage a specialized team of 8-10 Electrical NPI Engineers and serve as the technical bridge between internal Hardware and Mechanical Engineering leaders and external Contract Manufacturing partners. You will oversee the successful introduction of complex electrical designs from prototype to high-volume manufacturing, ensuring design for manufacturability, reliability, and quality are integrated throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Lead a specialized team of Electrical NPI Engineers to successfully introduce complex electrical designs from prototype to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Serve as the technical bridge between internal Hardware and Mechanical Engineering leaders and external Contract Manufacturing partners, ensuring design for manufacturability, reliability, and quality.
  • Oversee each product design, identifying DFM improvements in the early concept and prototype stages of development, and supporting HWDE’s, SI and CAD layout engineers with the product introduction.
  • Strong background in debugging circuits on the bench, troubleshooting, failure / root cause analysis and 8D methodology
  • Working knowledge and experience with PLM systems (Agile, Propel preferred) and ECO/MCO/DEV/PCN processes a must
  • 10+ years of experience in NPI engineering, specializing in Advanced SMT, High Layer Count PCB assembly (30+ layers), Prototype as well as Production level DFM
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering Preferred, Manufacturing Engineering acceptable with proper engineering experience. PCA Design / Layout experience a PLUS!!
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills
  • 5+ years of experience leading an electrical NPI manufacturing engineering team
  • Experience with large form-factor BGA components, high layer count advanced PCB structures, and liquid cooled products desired
  • Knowledge of data center equipment lifecycle management, PCB and component level coordination, from new product introduction through Production, and end of life
  • Experience reviewing PCB layout files in Allegro, or other viewers
