About The Role
Join Arista Networks, a leading provider of cloud networking solutions. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the mechanical design of our next module or chassis. You will face challenges in mechanical design, including structure, cooling, EMC, safety, manufacturability, cost, appearance, tolerances, documentation, and conforming to existing products. You will implement the selected design using Creo 3D CAD, manage peer and cross-functional team reviews, and work with suppliers to address DFM concerns. - Responsable de la conception mécanique du prochain module ou châssis à commercialiser, en tenant compte des exigences telles que la structure, le refroidissement, la sécurité, la manufacturabilité, etc.
- Implémenter le design sélectionné en utilisant Creo 3D CAD et fournir tous les dessins nécessaires, les dimensions critiques et les fichiers 3D pour permettre le prototypage et la fabrication.
- Gérer les revues de conception avec les pairs et les équipes interfonctionnelles, structurer la nomenclature (BOM) et libérer le produit en utilisant des outils de gestion du cycle de vie des produits.
- Experience with liquid cooling systems a plus
- Fluent in English
- Experience designing sheet metal parts using soft and hard tooling guidelines
- Experience using ProEngineer (PTC Creo) is a plus
- Relevant experience in mechanical design of computer/network equipment designed to operate in data centers is preferred
- Hands-on experience with tests (shock, vibe, EMC etc.) is a plus
- BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering + 7 years’ experience
- Experience with Mechanica (PTC Creo Simulate) a plus
- Plastic part design for both cosmetic and non-cosmetic uses
- Ability to lift weight upwards of 50 pounds
- Experience in ECO, BOM and Deviation processes, (Agile experience a plus)
- Experience with thermal simulation and air flow testing is a plus
- Familiarity with PDMLink (PTC Windchill) a plus
