Systems Engineer (SD-WAN & SD-Branch, Enterprise)

Join Arista's VeloCloud Systems Engineering team as a Senior Systems Engineer. In this role, you will provide technical systems engineering support for enterprise customers and channel partners, design integrated solutions, and lead technical responses to RFIs and RFPs. You will also perform Proof of Concept tests, provide technical training, and handle customer escalations. • Collaborate with Account teams to provide technical systems engineering support for enterprise customers and channel partners.
• Architect and design VeloCloud SD-WAN network and overall Arista solutions, providing technical recommendations and advice to prospects, customers, and channel partners.
• Lead the technical responses to RFIs, RFPs, and sales proposals, translating complex customer WAN requirements into comprehensive VeloCloud and Arista network solutions.
• BS/CS/CE technical degree or relevant experience required
• Expert knowledge in three or more of the following areas: Ethernet/LAN switching, IPSec, IP Routing (OSPF, BGP), TCP/IP, VxLAN, EVPN, Multicast, QoS, and SD-WAN technologies
• Experience selling or supporting the broader Arista campus portfolio, including switches, WiFi, and security solutions
• Technical Marketing Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Networking Engineer experience from companies in the WAN networking space, with hands-on experience managing POCs, field trials, and beta programs
• Minimum of 7+ years of pre-sales experience with data centers, campus, WAN technologies, or Cloud services, particularly through Value Added Resellers and Systems Integrators for enterprise markets
• Knowledge of Arista EOS and CloudVision for unified management and zero-touch operations
• Ability to effectively and energetically present technology and business propositions to customers, peers, and management
• Knowledge about automation including REST API, Python scripting, Ansible are a plus
• Network Industry Certification is a plus
• Exceptional communication and listening skills, ability to establish rapport and credibility with enterprise customers and channel partners
• Knowledge of cloud services and familiarity of how to enable routing functionality in Virtual Private Cloud from AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience supporting sales personnel on pre-sales calls, including presenting technical solutions, performing technical demonstrations, and providing technical context during the pre-sales cycle
