Staff Product Manager (Kafka Connect)

Join Confluent, the leading data streaming platform, as a Staff Product Manager for Kafka Connect. In this role, you will drive the Enterprise feature portfolio, enable seamless integration between Kafka and external systems, and support on-premise deployments and managed services. You will be responsible for the success of a major product initiative, from conception to growth strategy, and will work closely with engineering, design, sales, and marketing teams. A strong technical background and experience in enterprise software are required.

• MBA is a strong plus
• Experience with Enterprise software features like security, networking, observability is a plus
• Ability to craft a product strategy and roadmap in concert with customers, engineering, design, and go-to-market teams
• Strong technical competency, especially with distributed data systems, public and private clouds, and stream processing
• Bachelor's, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related technical field
• 5+ years of experience as a software product manager, ideally for an Enterprise technical product
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to distill technical concepts to a non-technical audience
• Empathy for our enterprise customers, and a passion for solving their problems with the software, sometimes being hands-on
• Experience with a modern integration platform is a plus
