Senior Engineering Manager (Application Lifecycle Engineering)

Join ServiceNow as a Senior Engineering Manager, leading the Automated Testing Framework (ATF) platform team. This high-impact role focuses on AI, developer tooling, and enterprise platform engineering. You will manage multiple product development teams, drive engineering excellence, and establish strategies for product reliability and performance. The position requires 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a management role.

• Lead the Automated Testing Framework (ATF) platform team to build the next generation of intelligent testing capabilities for ServiceNow customers.
• Drive engineering excellence through architecture, design, and adoption of modern software practices, ensuring delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure software.
• Manage a team of engineers, providing technical leadership, mentoring, and career development, while establishing, standardizing, and scaling strategies and automation frameworks across teams.
• Proven success in managing large, distributed teams and leading through complexity
• Fluency in one or more relevant programming languages (Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, etc.)
• An understanding of broad concepts and experience using those concepts to understand and develop solutions for problems
• Must have experience providing direct field support to customers
• Experience with open-source tools and agile development environments
• Ability to execute a project based on our priorities, context, risks and desired outcomes
• Ability to manage projects with material technical risk at a team level
• Experience in leveraging or critical thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and at least 5 + years of Experience in a management position for technical teams
• Fluency in multiple programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.) and strong system design skills
• Ability to understand and implement best practices and coding standards about role specific requirements (e.g. programming languages and tools, network design, functional design, algorithms, patterns, design and development, etc.)
• Experience In using AI Productivity tools such as Windsurf, Cursor, etc is a plus or nice to have
• Advanced working knowledge of test engineering processes and methodologies with a track record of delivering high-quality products at scale while balancing speed and quality
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, cloud platforms, and automation tools
• Deep technical expertise in enterprise software development, architecture, and testing
