Senior Finance Associate

Join Vestwell, a leading fintech company, as a Senior Finance Associate in our billing team. In this critical role, you will manage customer profiles, prepare invoices, monitor accounts receivable, and contribute to financial reporting and process improvement. You will collaborate with internal teams and external state agency partners to ensure accurate and timely billing operations. This position requires strong attention to detail, independent judgment, and a commitment to accuracy.

• Manage customer profiles, prepare invoices and revenue calculation packages, and monitor accounts receivable to support the financial health of the business.
• Own the end-to-end collections process, monitoring overdue invoices, resolving disputes, and escalating issues as necessary to optimize cash flow.
• Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and accounting compliance.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• 3-5 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or finance operations
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with billing software and accounting systems is a plus
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Experience in a fintech, financial services, or similarly regulated industry preferred
• Familiarity with government or state-administered programs (529 plans, auto-IRA, or similar) a plus
