Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

Join Sardine, a fast-growing tech startup, as a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst. In this remote-first position, you will be responsible for budgeting and forecasting for various departments, conducting monthly forecasting, and collaborating with the operations team to establish efficient operational processes. You will also assist in the quarterly preparation of materials for board meetings and help implement a new FP&A system. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of finance and accounting, exceptional attention to detail, and at least 2 years of relevant experience with tech startups.

• Take charge of budgeting and forecasting for various departments, and manage and report against the budgets of several departments.
• Collaborate closely with the operations team to establish and maintain efficient operational processes, and support budget owners in making strategic financial investment decisions.
• Conduct monthly forecasting, build, communicate, and maintain reports to track company performance, and assist in quarterly preparation of materials for board meetings.
• Familiarity with business visualization tools such as Sigma or Tableau
• SQL experience is a plus
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Profound understanding of finance and accounting
• 2+ years of relevant experience with tech startups
• Ability to utilize data to drive and communicate decisions effectively
• Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or data science
