Electrical Engineer (Verification & Validation)

Join Aeva, a leading technology company in the automotive and Lidar industry. As a Verification and Validation (V&V) Engineer, you will be an integral part of our EE Hardware Development Team, responsible for the design, build, and bring-up of mixed-signal PCBs. You will work closely with EE design engineers and other engineering teams, performing a variety of design verification and validation tasks. • Collaborate with EE design engineers and other teams to examine PCBs, their functions, and interconnections.
• Perform simulation and hands-on characterization of circuits, sub-circuits, PCBAs, or systems, and provide feedback.
• Partner with design leads to perform a variety of design verification and validation tasks, ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Good understanding of debug and probing techniques for a variety communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, PCIE etc)
• BS or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to analyze a design, component data sheet, user guide, or schematic to make insightful decisions
• Be an active team member working closely with other EE design engineers and other groups
• Understanding of PCB design fundamentals & technical tradeoffs
• 1-4 years experience in the Electrical Hardware / product space with robust, hands-on lab experience
• Good understanding of HW components, their interfaces and SW controls
• A big plus if you have experience in the automotive or Lidar industry
• Experience in motor control and/or RF/analog design is a plus
• Prior experience with Python / MATLAB for test automation and data visualization
