Embedded Software Engineer (Mountain View)

Join our team as an Embedded Software Engineer in Mountain View. You will design and implement real-time applications on application processors and microcontrollers using C/C++. You will participate in the team's software processes, debug complicated issues, and work with different teams to support new product design. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in embedded systems environments, a strong understanding of OS and RTOS fundamentals, and experience working with ARM and Tensilica architectures.

• Design and implement real-time applications on application processors and microcontrollers in C/C++.
• Participate in the team's software processes, including requirements and design documentation, test-plan generation and execution.
• Debug complicated issues as they arise during product development and work with different teams to support new product design.
• Experience developing applications that interact with custom HW on QNX and embedded Linux
• Experience in driver development for common embedded communication protocols such SPI, I2C, UART etc
• Experience working cross-functionally with other teams such as EE, DSP, System Test, and SW QA
• Strong understanding of OS and RTOS fundamentals
• Experience working on ARM, Tensilca architectures
• 3+ years of experience developing C/ C++ code in embedded systems environments
• Familiarity working with QNX, embedded Linux, FreeRTOS, Zephyr etc
• Ability and interest to operate in lab settings with logic analyzers, oscilloscopes for debugging
• Passion to make embedded SW applications resilient, safe, and production-grade
• Familiarity/Experience with Network Programming, and AUTOSAR middleware and general Automotive SW development experience
• Experience building hobby embedded systems projects outside of work
