Accounts Receivable Specialist

Join our dynamic team as an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Boston. In this role, you will manage customer invoicing and cash application, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial processes. You will review sales orders, process invoices and credit memos, maintain customer tax records, and handle daily cash receipts. Additionally, you will respond to Accounts Receivable inquiries, support the collections team, and maintain accurate records of delinquent accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of accounting principles.

• Review sales orders against contracts to ensure accuracy and alignment with agreed terms, and process customer invoices and credit memos through NetSuite.
• Maintain customer tax records through Avalara to ensure tax compliance across invoices and credit memos, and process daily cash receipts in NetSuite.
• Respond to Accounts Receivable inquiries via phone and email, providing timely and professional follow-up, and support the collections team in securing full and timely payments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform tasks with minimal supervision
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, including income statement, balance sheet, general ledger
• A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
• Desire and ability to work in a flexible, fast-paced & entrepreneurial environment
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality regarding customer information
• Experience in a similar Accounts Receivable role, with an understanding of core responsibilities
• Experience with NetSuite or another large ERP system is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail; excellent organisational and communication skills
