About The Role

Join Catapult, a leading sports technology company, as a Software Engineer. In this role, you will lead the transition to modern web and mobile application ecosystems, transforming internal scripts and management tools into reliable web applications. You will also decentralize complex workflows from traditional thick clients and establish engineering standards. Your success will be measured by the launch of stable web applications, successful deployment of key administrative workflows, and the establishment of independent web CI/CD pipelines.

Transform existing internal scripts and management tools into reliable, production-ready web applications.
Decentralize complex workflows from traditional thick clients and rebuild them into seamless web and hybrid experiences.
Define modern web best practices, set up robust CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with wider web divisions to align technology stacks.
Architectural & DevOps Autonomy: Demonstrated ability to build web environments from scratch, including configuring optimized developer workflows, automated testing, and deployment pipelines
Application-Layer Focus with Backend Literacy: Strong experience consuming complex internal APIs and managing frontend state, complemented by a solid understanding of database design and backend architecture for when custom services are required
Pragmatic & Fast-Paced Problem Solving: A proven track record of operating in a "tiger team" style capacity—capable of rapidly prototyping and delivering high-impact features under tight timelines for enterprise partners
Deep Web Ecosystem Expertise: Extensive professional experience with React, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and building cross-platform apps wrapped in Electron and React Native
