Vice President of Legal and Compliance (CFTC Compliance)

Join Galaxy Digital, a leading cryptocurrency and blockchain technology company, as the Vice President of Legal and Compliance. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining compliance programs for our Swap Dealer and Commodity Pool Operator/Commodity Trade Advisor. You will provide advisory coverage, evaluate new products and initiatives, create and maintain policies and procedures, and manage relationships with regulators. You will also collaborate with other teams within Galaxy and embrace the adoption of AI to improve team performance and business outcomes.

• Establishing, maintaining, and developing Galaxy’s compliance program for swap dealer and CPO/CTA activities.
• Providing advisory coverage to the swap dealer and CPO/CTA, including sales and trading activity in the U.S. and global jurisdictions.
• Managing relationships with regulators regarding swap dealer and CPO/CTA examinations, inquiries, and issues.
• Strong product knowledge and regulatory experience within the OTC derivatives and swap dealer businesses
• JD or MBA degree
• A minimum of 5 years of legal or compliance experience/background preferably with a U.S. sell-side firm
• Demonstrated experience with the implementation and execution of swap dealer compliance program at a registered swap dealer
• Knowledge of the regulatory treatment of digital assets
