Anthropic · London, United Kingdom

About The Role

Join Anthropic, a leading AI safety and research company, as the Head of Deal Desk for our international business. In this foundational role, you will own the Deal Desk for EMEA and APAC, lead a team of three, and serve as the commercial partner for international sales teams on complex and non-standard deals. You will work closely with various internal teams, maintain a consistent operating model across regions, and establish metrics to measure the desk's performance. This is an exciting opportunity to build the commercial engine for a rapidly growing business.

  • Own Deal Desk for Anthropic's international business across EMEA and APAC, leading a team and ensuring effective deal structuring.
  • Serve as the commercial partner to international sales teams on complex and non-standard deals, overseeing the deal approval and review process.
  • Establish the metrics that show the desk is working, and hold the team accountable to them, while driving process and tooling improvements.
  • Work effectively in fast-moving environments with high ambiguity, and are comfortable building process where little exists yet
  • Communicate clearly and credibly with both field sales and internal control functions, and can resolve competing interests between them
  • Have led a Deal Desk, deal management, or revenue operations function, and have structured complex, non-standard commercial deals directly
  • Are excited about Anthropic's mission to develop AI that is safe and beneficial
  • Understand the mechanics of deal structuring — pricing, discounting, multi-year and consumption models, commit and ramp terms — and the approval frameworks that govern them
  • Have worked across Sales, Legal, Finance, and Revenue Accounting to move deals from quote to signed, bookable order
  • Have managed people, and can hire, develop, and grow a team
  • Are fluent in the tooling of a modern GTM stack, including Salesforce and CPQ
  • Have built or materially scaled a Deal Desk function, rather than only inheriting and running one
  • Extensive experience running Deal Desk or revenue operations across international markets, ideally spanning both EMEA and APAC
  • Familiarity with the operational realities of selling internationally — multi-currency, multi-entity, and varied tax and invoicing requirements
  • Experience with quote-to-order and order management processes and the handoffs between them
  • Have worked at a company that scaled significantly during your tenure, particularly through a period of rapid international growth
  • Exposure to CPQ platforms such as <nue.io>, and to the systems and data that connect quoting to booking
  • Understanding of how enterprises evaluate and buy AI products, and how that shapes commercial structures
  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
  • Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
  • We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed
  • Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work
