About The Role

Join Anthropic as the Manager of Web Engineering, where you'll lead a small, senior team of web engineers in building and running <anthropic.com> and <claude.com>. You'll own the full stack behind our marketing web, manage and grow the team, and align web engineering work with Marketing, Product, Comms, and core Engineering. This role offers comprehensive benefits, a competitive salary, and the opportunity to work at the forefront of AI technology.

  • Lead the team responsible for building and maintaining <anthropic.com> and <claude.com>, ensuring high-quality web experiences.
  • Manage a small, senior team of web engineers, overseeing the full stack behind the marketing web, including CMS architecture and publishing pipeline.
  • Own the technical roadmap for the websites, including CMS architecture, publishing workflow, performance, SEO health, localization, and incident response.
  • Deep interest in AI and excitement about putting Claude into the build and publish loop itself, not just on the page
  • Strong frontend depth yourself, TypeScript, React, modern CSS, a modern headless CMS, and a real preference for staying close to the code
  • 10+ years in software engineering, 5+ managing engineers, with that time spent as an engineering manager inside a marketing, brand, or design engineering organization specifically, not just a product engineering one
  • Owned a high-traffic marketing or brand web surface end to end: CMS, frontend, infrastructure, and the publishing workflow around it
  • Shipped under real launch pressure with cross-functional partners, without dropping the quality bar
  • Built tooling that made non-engineers faster and safer, with a concrete story of what changed
  • Comfortable operating at the seam between Design, Marketing, and Engineering
  • Held a Head of Web Engineering or equivalent platform lead title at a product company
  • Built localization and multi region web infrastructure
  • Come from a company where brand and product web sat close together: design tools, productivity, or developer tools
  • Led design systems or component library work that shipped to production
  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
  • Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
  • We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed
