In this role, you will be the driving force behind the development of a common foundation that powers all of Anthropic's products. You will work across platform engineering teams and product teams, ensuring alignment and driving a cohesive roadmap. Your success will be measured by the ease, speed, and reliability with which products are built on the platform, as well as the measurable increase in developer velocity across the company.
- Own the cross-Apps platform roadmap end to end, including sequencing, dependencies, and tradeoffs across platform teams and the apps teams that depend on them.
- Drive alignment between platform engineering and apps teams to ensure platform investments map to real consumer needs and adoption actually happens.
- Establish the operating rhythm for planning, status, escalation paths, and launch coordination across organizations, and create program documentation including roadmaps, status reports, risk assessments, and communication plans.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority
- Are passionate about Anthropic's mission and interested in the challenges of bringing AI capabilities to users safely and reliably
- Thrive in unstructured environments with a knack for bringing order to chaos and creating clarity in ambiguous situations
- Have driven platform adoption across consuming teams, where success depended on other teams choosing to build on what you shipped
- Have several years of experience in technical program management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex, cross-functional programs
- Are highly organized and can manage multiple parallel workstreams effectively across distributed teams
- Have experience coordinating across multiple engineering teams and organizations simultaneously
- Have experience with platform engineering efforts (shared services, developer platforms, or common capabilities consumed by multiple product teams) and can engage meaningfully with the engineers building them
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
- We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed
